Anthony Daddino
Mr. Daddino is a partner with the firm who specializes in resolving federal tax controversies. He has extensive experience representing taxpayers in a wide variety of tax disputes, ranging from income tax and employment tax matters, to estate and gift tax, and employee benefit and exempt organization matters. Mr. Daddino routinely represents taxpayers administratively before IRS Examination and IRS Appeals, as well as in litigation before the Tax Court and federal district court. As a trial attorney, his recent experiences include trying to verdict partnership tax cases before the Court of Federal Claims and the federal district court for the Western District of Texas, as well as arguing a civil tax case before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Further, Mr. Daddino is often called upon by tax practitioners to represent them in IRS promoter investigations, as well as disciplinary matters before the IRS Office of Professional Responsibility.
Mr. Daddino is a law professor at Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where he teaches Corporate Income Taxation. He is also a frequent speaker on tax controversy and ethics issues and an author in the area of international tax compliance. Mr. Daddino is quoted in an article, "Capital Gains--Practitioners Say Extended Limitations Circuit Split Creates Uncertainty for Clients" in the Daily Tax Report, February 17, 2011. He is also quoted in the article "Supreme Court to Address Assessment Period" in the Daily Tax Report, September 28, 2011, an October 3, 2011 article "Supreme Court Opens New Term With Three Tax Cases on Its Docket" and a February 29, 2012 article "Practitioners Say Tax Court's 'Tigers Eye' Ruling Creates Partnership Item Uncertainty". Mr. Daddino was also quoted in the Daily Tax Report on April 26, 2012 in an article "Split Supreme Court Finds No Extended Assessment for Basis Overstatements" and on April 30, 2012 in an article "Fifth Circuit Finds Document Response Did Not Notify IRS of Shelter Participation."
Mr. Daddino was admitted to practice in Texas in 2002. He is married and has three children.
