J. Allen Sullivan Jr.
Mr. Sullivan’s practice concentrates on tax planning for entrepreneurs and their closely-held businesses and all aspects of business tax planning from entity formation and acquisition through wealth transfers and estate planning. His tax planning practice includes corporate taxation, pass-through entity taxation, and an ever-increasing amount of international taxation.
He is also largely involved in litigation dealing with individual, business, international and estate tax controversies. He has represented dozens of taxpayers in the IRS's Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Initiatives for taxpayers with unreported foreign entities and bank acounts. He has also been involved in challenging international and domestic penalties imposed by the IRS at the audit level and in IRS Appeals.
Mr. Sullivan's corporate practice includes business planning for partnerships, corporations, limited liability companies, S corporations, and individuals.
Mr. Sullivan was admitted to practice in Alabama in 2005 and in Texas in 2007.
